Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 23 August 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out what is and is not allowed when using products supplied by Kayalog Innovations Private Limited. It forms part of our Terms of Service, and applies to you and to every user you invite to your account.

The short version: use our products to run your own practice or business honestly, look after the people whose data you hold, and only message people who asked to hear from you.

1. General rules

You must not use our products to:

  • Break any Indian law, or infringe anyone's rights
  • Store or share content you have no right to store or share
  • Upload malware, or attempt to breach, probe or overload our systems
  • Access another customer's account or data
  • Reverse engineer, copy or resell the products
  • Share login credentials, or let people use the product under someone else's identity
  • Scrape or bulk-extract data other than your own

2. Patient and customer data

  • Record only the data you actually need to provide your service
  • Make sure you have a lawful basis and have given the notice the DPDP Act requires before recording someone's details
  • Where a patient is a minor, obtain verifiable consent from a parent or guardian
  • Give each staff member the lowest level of access their role needs
  • Remove access promptly when someone leaves your practice
  • Do not use patient data for purposes they would not expect, such as unrelated marketing

3. Messaging and consent

Messaging features are not currently enabled. These rules apply where and when you use them.

  • Only message people who have opted in. Keep a record of when and how each person consented.
  • Honour opt-outs promptly, and never message someone again after they have asked you to stop
  • Make it obvious who you are — do not impersonate another business or practitioner
  • Send messages relevant to the service the person expects from you
  • Do not send bulk unsolicited messages, chain messages or spam

WhatsApp specifically

Where you connect a WhatsApp Business number, you must also comply with Meta's own rules, as updated from time to time:

  • The WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy
  • The WhatsApp Commerce Policy, which prohibits certain categories of goods and services

Meta assigns your number a quality rating based on how recipients react to your messages. If recipients block or report you, Meta may restrict or disable your number. We may suspend the feature on your account if your quality rating falls, if Meta requires it, or if we reasonably believe you are breaching these rules.

4. Prohibited content

You must not use our products in connection with:

  • Unlicensed medical practice, or claims you are not qualified to make
  • Prescription medicines, controlled substances or unapproved treatments
  • Misleading health claims, or guarantees of a clinical outcome
  • Adult content, gambling, weapons or other goods restricted by Meta's Commerce Policy
  • Fraud, phishing, or the collection of credentials or payment details under false pretences
  • Harassment, hate speech, or content that targets an individual

5. Clinical responsibility

Our products support your practice; they do not practise for you. Any summary, suggestion or reminder generated by the product is an aid only. You remain responsible for clinical decisions, for the accuracy of the records you keep, and for the care you provide.

6. Reporting a problem

If you believe someone is misusing our products, or you have found a security vulnerability, please tell us at hello@kayalog.co.in. We investigate every report and will not pursue anyone who reports a vulnerability to us in good faith.

7. Enforcement

Where we believe this AUP has been breached, we may — depending on how serious it is — contact you, ask you to fix the problem, disable a specific feature, suspend your account, or terminate it. For serious or unlawful conduct we may act immediately and without notice, and where the law requires it we may report the matter to the authorities.

8. Changes

We may update this AUP as our products develop or as Meta's policies change. We will update the date above, and give reasonable notice of material changes.
